How to fix a perfume overdose
Did you spritz on a little too much of your favorite scent? Fix your perfume overdose
by dipping a cotton ball in some rubbing alcohol and swiping the areas where you applied too much perfume. The alcohol will absorb the scent and dry quickly.
Make your fragrance last all day
In order to keep your scent strong all day, it is best to apply it in layers. By this I mean buy the complete set; the body wash, lotion and perfume.
Smell delicious all day long
Before spritzing on your perfume, try dabbing a bit of petroleum jelly onto your wrists and at the back of your neck to extend the length of your scent. You'll be left smelling wonderfully for hours on end!
Give your scent a fall makeover
When the season's change, your fragrances should also change. You wouldn't wear your daisy dukes in the summer, so make sure you use a more intense, rich fragrance. Try to save the light, fruity perfumes for the spring and summer time.
How to choose the right fragrances
Spending all day at a designer beauty store or department store may be overload for your scent sensors. Perfume is basically aromatherapy blends of essential oils and other perfume ingredients. Fragrances will smell different on every woman becuase of individual body chemistry. There are many perfume sample options (like mini tester vials) today that allow you to take fragrances home for proper sampling over a longer period of time.
Keep perfume or cologne scent lasting longer
Spray your perfume or cologne lightly on your hair. You can also spray some on your hairbrush, if you don't all ready spray hairspray on it.
Alternative to perfume
If you find yourself with no perfume, a good substitute is to either dab on a little vanilla extract or almond extract. Not only does it smell yummy, but it also tastes yummy, should someone nibble on your neck. :)
