Ostrich Steak with Pineapple
Ingredients:
Ostrich steak 600g (2pcs)
Baby
ginger (peeled
and slice) 200g
Pineapple (sliced) 200g
red pepper (cut) 2 pcs
Green pepper ( cut) 2 pcs
Spring onion ( cut into stalks) 2pcs
Garlic ( sliced ) 4 cloves
Gu Yue Hua Diao red
wine 2 tsp
Sauce:
Chicken broth 120ml
Cornstarch 1tsp
sugar 1tsp
Salt 1tsp
Ginger Marinade:
Salt 2 tbsp
White vinegar 2 tbsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
Ostrich Steak Marinade :
Light soy sauce, sugar and cornstarch 1tsp each
Method:
1. Marinade ginger slices in salt
for 15 minutes, wash in water 3 times
until all the salt is washed out. Pat dry and marinate with vinegar and sugar
for 1 hour.
2. Marinate ostrich steak for 30 minutes.
3. Heat wok, pan-fry steak on each side for one minute, set aside.
4. Heat wok, add garlic,spring onion green and red peppers, pineapple and
baby ginger. Splash with wine,add ostrich steak, stir well and put on dish.
5. Cook sauceuntil boiling,thicken with cornstarch and pour over steak.
